My Story
Born in Massachusetts and shaped by a cross-cultural upbringing with a Puerto Rican mother and African American father, this journey has always been rooted in storytelling, identity, and observation of culture from multiple angles.
Education spans Clark Atlanta University, Los Angeles Film School, and New York University, where Entertainment Business was studied to better understand both the creative and operational sides of media.
That foundation led into unscripted television, working across development, production, and post-production on series for major networks and streaming platforms. The path has moved through a range of formats, from docuseries to competition and reality programming, with a focus on how real people and real moments translate into compelling television.
Industry Experience.
Kayla Martinez is a television producer, creative director, and media entrepreneur with experience producing some of the most recognizable unscripted series in television. Her work spans major networks and global streaming platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount, A&E Network, and WE tv.
Her credits include hit series such as The Circle, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, LEGO Masters, and Divorce Court, where she helped shape stories, oversee production, and create emotionally compelling television that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Known for blending sharp creative instincts with strong leadership, Kayla has built a career across docuseries, competition shows, dating series, lifestyle programming, and large-scale reality productions. Beyond television, she is developing, a next-generation media company focused on storytelling, film, television, and culture-driven content with a global reach.
Based in Atlanta and working across multiple markets including New York City, Kayla represents a new generation of producers who combine creative vision, business strategy, and cultural awareness to build impactful entertainment brands.
